How to Change the Filters on Platinum Pure Dual Stage System
Today we will be going over the steps on how to change the Dual Stage Filters on your Platinum Pure Dual Stage system.
Prepare your area by placing towels or paper towels beneath your system to catch any remaining water.
Please note that unless you have ordered PLUS filters, both filters are the same and require no designation. If you ordered the PLUS filters, the one labeled sediment is the Pre filter and the one labeled PLUS is the post filter.
The first step is to shut off the water supply to your system. Locate the shut off valve for your feed and turn it off. Next, release the pressure in your system by opening the spigot and letting it drip. Once the dripping has stopped, close the spigot Remove the old filters by turning them CLOCKWISE 90 degrees until the filter will not turn any further, then pull down. Install the new filters into the appropriate slots by removing the dust covers and lining up the 2 inserts on the top of the filter into the corresponding ports on the filter housing. Turn the filter 90 degrees until the filter will not turn any further and the label is facing directly outward. With the spigot open and the new filters installed, turn the feed back on. Once there is a thin drizzle from the spigot, turn the spigot back off and wait 10 minutes, checking thoroughly for any leaks. If no leaks have been detected after 10 minutes, open the spigot and complete the final flushing procedure. Let the system run for 10 minutes with the spigot open and the feed valve on in order to flush the new filter. After 10 minutes, close the spigot. Your Platinum Pure Dual Stage system is ready to use!
